College counseling is vital in guiding students through crucial academic decisions, whether it’s selecting high school subjects or exploring career interests. At our School, our counseling program actively involves both students and parents. We don’t just assess students’ interests and abilities; we also focus on developing essential skills. Our goal is to equip students with the 21st-century skills they need. We provide information on various undergraduate courses worldwide, both locally and internationally, as well as scholarships and extracurricular opportunities. In today’s rapidly changing world, it is important that students have access to information on the changing face of the careers and hence the courses of study offered in various colleges, in India, and across the world. This, coupled, with a self-discovery process that helps one identify their own innate strengths, is the purpose of the College Guidance Programme.

On November 10th, 2023, Akshar Arbol International School hosted an engaging career session focused on the world of writing. Led by a panel of seasoned writers including Mr. Arun Janardhanan, Ms. Sowmiya, and Ms. Lavanya, students gained valuable insights into various writing career paths. Mr. Janardhanan shared his experiences as a Senior Assistant Writer at the Indian Express, highlighting the fast-paced nature of journalism. Ms. Sowmiya, an Independent Journalist, discussed the freedom of freelance writing, while Ms. Lavanya, a Content Specialist, explored content creation strategies. The session inspired attendees to explore their creativity and pursue writing careers with confidence. As the event concluded, participants left with newfound clarity and enthusiasm for the diverse opportunities in writing.
