Mr. Palani from Dakshin Chitra was at the school premises on 10th and 11th April\, teaching students pottery from grade 1 to grade 11.The workshop was conducted from 9.30am to 3.15 pm. The students learnt how to make pots of various shapes and sizes. They also learnt the art of clay modeling\, fashioning various forms of birds and animals. Mr. Palani taught them to mould clay and how sand is used for various purposes\, the treatment of clay for a specific time to suit our purpose and the art of preparing clay for our needs. The children found the workshop both exciting and edifying. The workshop concluded with the children making a number of pots and birds and animals for the earth day.
