Arts
“Art in the classroom not only spurs creativity, it also inspires learning.” – Mickey Hurt.
Creativity, Expression and Inspiration are the cornerstones of the Arts Programme at AAIS.
We believe that an integration of, and an immersion into the Arts helps develop socially, emotionally and mentally well-balanced students, by providing them opportunities to explore, express and communicate their feelings, ideas and thoughts.
Our students are encouraged to express their creative ideas and showcase their artistic skills at various instances throughout the year, during various School Events, Exhibitions and Celebrations. Wall Murals, Installations, Walk-through Art Galleries celebrating student learning and successes adorn the hallways of our campuses.
Theatrical & Musical performances are a regular feature, during events, celebrations; as well as a tool to explore and express learning across different disciplines. Field trips to art galleries, museums, temples and other art spaces are ongoing, through the course of the academic year, providing exposure to students, on both ancient and modern forms of art.
Ensemble is the Secondary School Annual Art Exhibition @AAIS, marking the culmination of learning of Visual Arts through the Primary and Middle School Years. Students have the option of choosing Art & Design as a core subject in Grade 9, as part of the Cambridge IGCSE Programme.
Take a virtual tour to see samples of our students learning of the Arts.
Akshar Arbol International School’s partnership with entities such as the World Crafts Council facilitates our students’ exposure to several traditional art forms and crafts work in addition to their regular art classes. An exclusive Visual Arts Studio and an intimate outdoor amphi-theatre at our new campus allows our students to work on creative projects giving them an opportunity to hone their skills in their chosen art form.
“Art is the expression of profound thoughts in the simplest ways.”
– Albert Einstein.
